Network operations center is a Telecommunication Network or Satellite to exercise network monitoring and control, or network management. STCS’s NOC Services provide end-to-end management, including 24 x 7 x 365 surveillance, fault identification, alarm handling, and triage capability. STCS technical engineers can also provide troubleshooting remediation and repairs. In addition, parts management services such as Managed Spares and Engineer Dispatch, provide a comprehensive managed operations environment. STCS’s NOC management architecture provides monitoring and management capabilities that enable the timely identification of performance impacting faults and events, the diagnosis and resolution of technology issues, and the automation of routine tasks.

System Engineering

STCS Infrastructure Monitoring service provides Incident management and monitoring services for providing managed server, managed load balancer, managed backup and managed security for network infrastructure. This team proactively monitors uptime and availability of infrastructure elements in customer's network.

Network Provisioning

The Provisioning Function operates on design documents and performs validation, logical modeling in inventory, resource reservation and configuration. This function consists of a set of processes and activities that accomplish fulfillment of network and customer orders across all technological domains. Proactive network surveillance is essential for detecting problems as they happen, identifying performance degradation prior to network failure, and solving critical issues around network availability and business continuity.

Fault Monitoring

STCS provides Network Fault Management through NOC function and takes care of all network related faults that get automatically registered in fault management system. Usually fault management process creates tickets based on the alarm observed during proactive network monitoring. The criticality of faults is assessed (based on customer service impact), categorized and treated according to customer specifications. This process also coordinates with cross functional team for workaround and permanent resolution of network faults.

MPLS Provisioning

Multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), an efficient encapsulation mechanism; uses “Labels” appended to packets for transport of data.  With MPLS, the first time a packet enters the network, it’s assigned to a specific forwarding equivalence class (FEC), indicated by appending a short bit sequence (the label) to the packet. MPLS network has the ability to handle packets with particular characteristics in a consistent fashion. Packets carrying real-time traffic, such as voice or video, can easily be mapped to low-latency routes across the network.

Traffic Migration

Due to expansion of the mobile phone network, users now take it for granted that they can connect to the networks anytime and anywhere to access content they desire.  Increasing in communication traffic can cause congestion and delay on the network thereby degrading the quality of communication. STCS adopted traffic migration technology to switch and distribute communication traffic without interrupting application sessions in a seamless manner.

Operation Engineer

Knowledgeable and experienced people are a key asset for any NOC operation. Establishing and maintaining knowledge in front-line staff pays dividends in the speed of fault resolution and overall productivity. STCS’s operational structure is based on placing the right level of knowledge at the right place and at the right time. Experienced front-line engineers skilled in a broad range of customer networks across various technologies perform a wide range of tasks, from resolving customer issues to performing preventative maintenance on customer systems.
